Favourite groceries for weight loss:

Broccoli: Broccoli is one of those ingredients that made you wince when you were younger, but if you are anything like me your taste buds have changed, I now love the stuff and find it really livens up any dish. Something I never thought I’d say. Stick some broccoli in your stir fries to give it a bit of extra crunch. I find broccoli also goes great with a bit of lemon/lime, a salmon steak and some sliced up chilli and cherry tomatoes, some garlic, mixed herbs, and spaghetti.

Turkey: Unless it is December 25th, turkey has a bad rep, it’s like the Toyota Prius of meat, dull, bland but god it’s clean. You would struggle to find a piece of meat from any other animal with less fat than you get with turkey steaks. And believe it or not it is quite easy to cook it without it drying out and tasting like your eating some weird tasteless chicken substitute. What I like to do is smother it in peri peri sauce, and stick it on the grill for a couple of minutes each side, be sure to keep checking as there are seconds between it being nice and moist or drier than a nuns towel. Again turkey makes a great lean meat to throw into a Chinese style stir fry.
